BCIT Instructors – Accepting nominations for bargaining committee until September 20

The BCIT Instructors collective agreement expires on March 31, 2019. The union is beginning its preparations for bargaining, starting with the election of a bargaining committee. 

Please be advised that the Union is now accepting nominations for bargaining committee members for the BCIT Instructor bargaining unit.

The bargaining committee consists of four positions:

• One position of bargaining unit chair
• Three positions for bargaining committee members.

There are two separate nomination forms: one for the bargaining unit chair position, the other for the three bargaining committee members positions. The nomination forms are attached to this notice, please make copies as needed. 

Nomination forms can also be provided through your shop steward or by calling the BCGEU at 604-215-1499.

Nomination forms are to be received by no later than the close of nominations on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 5pm.

Nominations should be via email [email protected], by fax at 604-215-1410 or in person at BCGEU Lower Mainland Area Office in Vancouver (#130 – 2920 Virtual Way, Vancouver).

Should the Union receive more nominations than positions available, we will conduct an election using paper ballots.
