Every day our communities rely on the incredible contribution and commitment of front-line health care providers. Nursing Week is a chance to celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding job done by these caring professionals.

"Nurses play a huge part in caring for our communities. Whether they are LPNs or RNs, working in residential care facilities, or other front-line services, they go to work every day and take care of the needs and well-being of our friends and families," said Stephanie Smith, BCGEU President. "The BCGEU is lucky and proud to have such a pillar of our care system represented in the diverse membership of the union. It is my pleasure to thank them on the occasion of National Nursing Week 2019, for all that they do."

Across British Columbia, the BCGEU represents over 100 LPNs and RNs working in residential care facilities and many other front line healthcare services across the province.
