This is an update on the status of negotiations for renewal of the collective agreement between the BCGEU and NEC Native Education College.

The parties met for two days of bargaining on November 20 and 21, 2019 and made good progress on non-monetary proposals. 45 of 49 non-monetary proposals have been agreed to, leaving only four proposals outstanding.

The parties will meet again on December 2 (tentative) and December 5, 2019 to conclude non-monetary negotiations and begin bargaining on monetary. You can expect a further update shortly after December 5.

In the meantime, the bargaining committee thanks members for their ongoing unity, support and patience through this process.
