For over 40 years, Childhood Connections Okanagan Child and Family Services in Kelowna has served as a crucial hub for childhood educators and families in need.
Childhood Connections provides wrap around services for working families and has a large community kitchen, an extensive toy lending library that is used by both families and daycare providers, and a drop-in childcare facility to serve families who need flexibility to support their work schedules or who have struggled to find full-time child care.
But now, Childhood Connections is facing closure with a major funding loss and no plans with the new operator to continue.
You can help by signing the petition to keep the services going!
Renee Merrifield, MLA for Kelowna-Mission, will present the petition to the provincial government next week, so add your voice today to show that the community supports this crucial service.
You can also join a rally to support Childhood Connections on Saturday April 6, 2024, at 10:00am at Childhood Connections (1505 Harvey Ave #101, Kelowna, BC V1Y 6G1).
All working families benefit when there are strong supports for children and educators in the community. Childhood Connections has served as a lifeline for families for decades, and their services are crucial.
Sign the petition today and please share with your friends and coworkers!
