Re: Vehicle Tech Shift Change
It has come to the Union's attention that your employer is considering shift changes in the Vehicle department. The Union has NOT agreed to such changes.
The Union asserts that any permanent changes made to the schedule after the annual shift bid must be made in accordance with 15.4 (d) and 14.3 (c), which require mutual agreement between the supervisor and the employee. Even temporary, unanticipated changed due to "special projects" are subject to negotiations between the parties, which have not happened.
If you believe your schedule has been changed in violation of the collective agreement, the BCGEU encourages you to speak to a steward and file a grievance.
We will continue to keep you informed on this matter as we learn more.
