As you know, the Employer and the Union continue to dispute what wages should be paid to the newly certified BCGEU members who became unionized earlier this year. The Union continues to argue that the Collective Agreement wage grid and Letter of Intent #2 apply to you. Specifically, that all your hours in your role (including hours prior to unionization) are used to find your place on the wage grid, and that you must receive at least a 1.85% increase to "neutralize" your Union dues. 

As we have been unable to come to an agreement, we have filed the grievance to arbitration. Nonetheless, we continue to aim to seek a positive resolution for Branch 10 members, and will continue to keep you updates as the grievance moves through the process.
