Re:            Ratification Meetings and Voting on New Collective Agreement

                 Friday, February 24, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. - Mtg Rm #2, Pizza will be served

The Union bargaining committee is pleased to advise that a tentative agreement has been reached with the Employer for your second collective agreement. The features of the tentative agreement include:

• Wage increases of 2.25, 2.25, 2.25, 2.25 commencing on April 1, 2017
• Signing bonuses
• PS Step 1 reduced to six months
• Increase in sick leave to 5% and increased carry-over of sick leave
• PS will be covered by Admin/TC benefits plan
• Maternity leave top-up
• Vacation bonus days converted to two vacation days effective in 8th year of continuous service

We are holding two ratification meetings where we will go over the changes in the tentative agreement. You are invited to attend one of the meetings where there will be copies of the tentative agreement changes. You will be voting on whether you accept the tentative agreement.

The bargaining committee is recommending acceptance of the tentative agreement and we look forward to seeing you at one of the ratification meetings.
